An experienced advocate with a reputation for giving honest, open and full advice to clients at an early stage as to likely outcomes of their cases. He is well known for putting clients at their ease at court and for his ability to communicate with clients in a way that is both reassuring and understandable. He is always more than willing to advise in conference, at solicitor’s offices, in writing or over the phone.

Jamie has dealt with cases before a variety of tribunals ranging from Magistrates Courts to the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) including Courts Martial both in the UK and Germany.

 His experience ranges from serious criminal matters such as:-
• sexual offences (rape, indecent assault and offences against children),
• serious drug offences (supply and conspiracy allegations up to and including Class A drugs),
• violence (including manslaughter and murder),
• all matters of dishonesty ranging from theft to serious fraud
• proceeds of crime applications.
• He defends in Courts Martial both in the UK and Germany and appears on behalf of prisoners at parole and similar hearings.

Despite practicing principally in crime he also accepts instructions in relation to family matters including :-
• All aspects of Family Law
• Financial remedies
• Trusts of Land (TOLATA)
• Schedule 1 Applications
• Care Proceedings ( including NAIs)
• Residence and contact
• Leave to remove applications

Registered to take work on a direct access basis from professional bodies and persons other than solicitors, as well as in suitable cases from members of the public. Licensing Act 2003 Applications, Reviews, Variations and Enforcements.

Prior to joining the Bar Jamie was a Production Manager in theatre and film for 15 years and an Assistant Trainer in Newmarket for 3. He continues to enjoy theatre and horse riding as well as sailing and cycling.
